Together, the GO_Hero Initiative gathers 72 research groups and 1.226 researchers covering a broad range of expertise.
There are clear synergies across our sites’ expertise, where collaborative efforts bring the most benefit. On June 2019, the Board of Directors of the 3 Institutes agreed on the common prioritiy areas. As a result, a work plan has been developed to maximise the collaboration across the research groups of the different sites.

- Common lines of research: Cardiovascular diseases, familial hypercholesterolemia

Oncology
- Groups: 15 research teams
- Common lines of research: pathology of breast cancer, cell cycle, leukemia and lymphoma

Neuroscience and Mental Health
- Groups: 15 research teams
- Common lines of research: Schizophrenia, autism, neurodegenerative diseases, stroke

Health and Environment

- Common lines of research: Infectious diseases, sepsis and nosocomial diseases, toxicology assessments
