How can Generative AI help in our daily tasks?

The rapid rise of Generative AI (Gen AI), especially Large Language Models (LLMs), is transforming the workforce in many sectors, and the research and research management ecosystem is no exception. This training consists of two sessions designed to introduce and deepen your understanding of GenAI tools: First, we’ll have a 2-hour online introductory workshop, aimed at familiarizing you with key GenAI tools, exploring their practical applications, and highlighting how they can simplify tasks and enhance productivity. This will be followed by a more hands-on 3-hour workshop, where you’ll learn to identify when it’s most effective to apply GenAI tools, precisely define tasks and current challenges you face, and effectively utilize these tools to address your daily work challenges. Throughout these workshops, you’ll discover the latest GenAI trends relevant to research and research management, practical applications of LLMs (with a special focus on Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT), strategies for effective prompting (prompt engineering), and practical tips for integrating these tools into your daily workflows without requiring deep technical expertise. This training is divided in 2 parts:

• GenAI introduction (online, open to all centers linked to the IISPV): 13 May (from 14:30 to 17 h)

• GenAI hands-on workshops (onsite, open to IISPV researchers, limited availability, priorization will be applied): 15 May, Reus (from 9 to 12 h) and 15 May, Tarragona (from 14 to 17 h)
